P.E

In 1CG we will be doing outside P.E on a Tuesday and indoor P.E on a Friday.  Children need to come to school on these days in full P.E kit which consists of navy or black jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white T-Shirt and trainers/plimsolls.  For outdoor P.E they will also need a warm fleece for when we do P.E in the winter months.  Please make sure long hair is tied back and earrings are taken out or covered up.

 

As a school we follow the Real P.E scheme.  This is what we are doing in Year 1.

Autumn 1

Indoor P.E -  Core Real P.E unit 2 - In this unit, the children will develop and apply their jumping and landing and seated balance through focused skill development sessions, thematic stories and games.

 

Outdoor P.E - Core Real P.E Unit 1 - In this unit, the children will develop and apply their footwork and one leg balance through focused skill development sessions, thematic stories and games

Autumn 2

 

Indoor P.E - Real Gym unit 1 - In this unit, the children will learn, develop and apply shapes and travel on the floor and apparatus through focused skill development, thematic warm-ups and games

 

Outdoor P.E - Core real P.E unit 4 - In this unit, the children will develop and apply their ball skills and counter balance with a partner through focused skill development sessions, thematic stories and games

Spring 1

 

Indoor P.E - Core Real P.E unit 3 - In this unit, the children will develop and apply their dynamic balance on a line and stance through focused skill development sessions, thematic stories and games.

 

Outdoor P.E - Core Real P.E unit 5 - In this unit, the children will develop and apply their sending and receiving and reaction and response through focused skill development sessions, thematic stories and games.
