Required from April 2022

(Temporary Post: April 2022 – December 2022, with a possibility of extension)


We are looking to appoint a high quality, dedicated & experienced teaching assistant to support identified pupils within our year 2 class and nurture setting.


We are looking for someone who can:

  • Work alongside the Key Stage 1, year 2 team initially, in the development of accessibility and care for two identified pupils
  • Provide hands on assistance in relation to the physical and sensory needs of identified pupils
  • Provide direct, close support for pupils
  • Ensure the safety of pupils within the school environment
  • Liaise with other key workers involved in supporting the pupils’ education and health care needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
  • Support pupils in relation to access within the nurture environment and wider school environment
  • Has knowledge and experience of working with young children
  • Can engage using non-verbal communication
  • Has knowledge of working with pupils who display complex needs
  • Has knowledge of interacting and supporting pupils with ASD
  • Can contribute towards the pupil’s inclusion within our school
  • Can develop positive relationships with all stakeholders in relation to the identified children
  • Provide practical care and support in relation to personal hygiene, toileting and continence training


The pattern of work required are Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 3:30pm.
