Wow! What a month we've had in school...
September saw us all settling back into the routine of school days and great attitudes to our learning. So far, we've enjoyed Roald Dahl Dress up day, National Teaching Assistants Day, Harvest Festival, fortnightly assemblies with Mina, open door afternoon for our parents (including several new parents signing up to help out with our PTA... so thank you!), Governor afternoon, Macmillan cake afternoon & cake sale, Severn Trent Water assembly & workshops and African dance workshops for every class in the school - including nursery.
On top of all of this, we've been looking at our behaviour policy and how it can be improved for the children - soon to be uploaded on the website.
The outside of the school is looking fabulous - many thanks to Mrs Gregory who has managed to transform the flowerbeds and borders with a little help from some of our other parents and Mr Springthorpe - the donations of both time and plants are more than gratefully received - and many of our children and families have commented on what a difference this has made. Last week, Aaron (one of our nursery fathers) turned up in the pouring rain, laden down with plants and garden tools and has begun to transform the outdoor area of the nursery - we look forward to seeing how the area looks as time progresses.
We are trying to update our website regularly - though if you think there's something missing, please let us know.
We look forward to seeing what October brings, beginning this week with our dress-up day to celebrate Red, White & Blue Day on Friday, 14th October - see the link to letters on our main page for further details.
