Following our first (VERY SUCCESSFUL!) book club outing to the library, we have been asked to only bring groups in no more than 10 each week as the library is still open to the public and there is not enough space for the children to sit comfortably when reading once they have selected their books.
We are going to split the children into 2 groups so they can still attend book club every week and they will have every other week at the library or at school.
When in school there will be a reading activity each week for them to complete as well as opportunity to enjoy books and reading time. At the library, there will be time to change books and read – either on their own, with friends or with an adult.
Please make sure you put this information somewhere safe so you know whether to collect your child from the library (at 4:15pm) or from school (4:15pm).
From February half-term, KS2 children are invited to join Mrs Wilkinson, Miss Brockerton & Mrs Scotter to visit the local library where we will be able to choose new books (remember to bring your library card!) and spend some time reading - on your own, with a group, or to an adult.
Any parents who wish to join us are very welcome - see Miss Brockerton for details.
