Please check the links below for our child and parent newsletters and keep a special look out for information about the year 5 / 6 production - we've been sending out letters , scripts and songs, and costume requests, but all key letters will be uploaded on this page... or on 6B's class page.
Please remember that as it is the summer (ahem - thundershowers???) term, children should bring their P.E. kits into school on a Monday and take them home each Friday as we may be able to have extra session in preparation for Sports Days depending on the weather.
As the temperatures begin to rise, please also make sure that all children are bringing in water bottles so they can have a drink throughout the day!
Welcome to 6N's brand new web page!
We cannot believe that we are now more than half way through the school year already! So far this year, we have covered the topics 'Is there anybody out there?' (SPACE) and 'Where in the world is Jacksdale?'. Our current topic learning about the Stone Age is very exciting and we have enjoyed researching this exciting period.
Please remember that we are currently doing PE on Thursdays so the children will need their kit (indoor at the moment).
Also encourage your child to read at home on a regular basis. this is vitally important in improving their written skills, in particular, using a varied vocabulary and sentence structures.
The Year Sixes will be taking their SATs test in May (9th-12th) and we have already started to prepare them by involving them in various booster group sessions which will happen over the next few weeks. We have purchased some revision books for them to use at home as well as school.
Sherwood Pines Trip
We had a fantastic day at Sherwood Pines on 23rd February, finding out what it would be like to live in the Stone Age. After trekking through the beautiful forest, we arrived at the BUSHCRAFT area where we made shelters in the woods and made our own fire to toast marshmallows on!
Here are some photographs of our fab. day!
